Assume all living organisms
have been replaced. I am not
a symptom of anything. Dousing
cigarettes in a swimming pool.
Taking a bath in a suit. Sometimes
I have these inscrutable panics:
my chicken wings ruined
in the reheating, missed calls
from mom, so many tears shed
at the family barbeque. Theoretically,
it is impossible to explain
my oven mitted sobbing,
that convenience store heartbreak.
This doesn’t suck.
Actually I am so happy.
